STELLAR WORKS REFOCUSES BRAND WITH ‘OMOTENASHI’ SHOWCASE AT 3DAYSOFDESIGN 2025

Stellar Works, the Japanese-founded furniture brand with a global presence, announces a refocus of its brand direction at 3daysofdesign 2025 with a new immersive showcase: Omotenashi. Reflecting a refined creative direction, the brand’s evolution honours its East-meets-West philosophy while embracing a renewed commitment to hospitality focused design and craftsmanship.

Situated in the historic Odd Fellow Palace in central Copenhagen as part of the FRAMING exhibition, Omotenashi showcases Stellar Works’ revitalised brand offering.

The experience features a collection of new and signature pieces that embody the Japanese concept of Omotenashi, rooted in the spirit of thoughtful care, precision, and genuine hospitality.

This signifies a pivotal moment for Stellar Works; revealing a deeper and more intentional design ethos tailored for the global hospitality sector. Creative director, curator, and brand consultant Tony Chambers has partnered with Stellar Works to bring a new brand identity to life, which manifests in two curated spaces that blend showroom concepts with a hospitality environment. ‘The new visual identity is a subtle but meaningful modification. It is softer, warmer and more suggestive of the hand-crafted and bespoke nature of Stellar Works’ oeuvre’ explained Chambers.

This refreshed direction also marks a return to the brand’s roots — a renewed focus on collaborating with designers renowned for their work in the hospitality sector. By doubling down on its core values, Stellar Works is reaffirming its ambition to become the definitive global furniture brand for high-end hospitality. As part of this evolution, the brand is also working to bring its commercial collection and bespoke offering into closer alignment, strengthening its design language across all projects.

‘Stellar Works creates furniture that enhances and elevates the world’s finest hospitality environments,’ said Daisuke Hironaka, CEO of Stellar Works. ‘Our updated brand strategy reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful design, lasting craftsmanship, and the development of harmonious spaces that inspire connection and reflection.’

Curated in collaboration with Tony Chambers, Omotenashi transforms the blue and pink rooms of the Odd Fellow Palace into two captivating environments: The Sake Bar Lounge created by Space Copenhagen, celebrates its long-standing collaboration with Stellar Works and showcases special editions of some of its most iconic designs to mark the studio’s 20th anniversary.

The Sakura Lounge debuts new collections by acclaimed design studios Yabu Pushelberg, Alessandro Munge and Layan, who offer a vision for contemporary hospitality grounded in natural materials, poetic forms, and an intentional design aesthetic.

In both spaces, Stellar Works reaffirms its identity as a design-driven brand grounded in cultural perspectives, craftsmanship, and collaboration. The setting draws inspiration from traditional Japanese rituals, including tea ceremonies and ikebana, reinterpreted through a modern lens to showcase the brand’s unique duality.

Along with its design evolution, Stellar Works is advancing its sustainability efforts through a partnership with YKK Group. As the official partner of the showcase, YKK presents innovative recycled materials, such as POM dowels, logo fabrics, yarns, and zinc components, showcasing their integration into high-end furniture and interior design applications.

With Omotenashi, Stellar Works signifies not just a refocus, but a reawakening — a bold reaffirmation of its values through a refined perspective of hospitality, cultural nuance, and enduring design. As the brand embarks on this next chapter, it invites the global design community to experience a new era where craftsmanship converges with mindfulness and every detail represents a gesture of intentional living.
